His book "Best-Tasting Wild Plants of Colorado and the Rockies" was published by Westcliffe and has sold over 18,000 copies. His new books, “Survival Plants of Colorado” - Volumes I & II, featuring 468 wild herbs and over 2,000 color photographs, are the “go to” textbooks for ethnobotany classes throughout Colorado. Cattail Bob has been a guest on local television and radio as well as NBC’s The Today Show. He has been an advisor and instructor for the BBC and Discovery Channel's "Naked and Afraid". His outings, hikes and slide shows are fun and educational.
